Our Thematic Partnerships

Our themed partnerships are a key aspect of Waves Ahead. In these partnerships, smaller organisations have been able to provide input on specific areas of interest and expertise. Where appropriate, the Thematic Partnerships can feed up to the Executive Board any relevant insight and intelligence around identified issues and possible solutions, highlight new or changing issues, challenges and opportunities, seek support, brokerage or intervention where issues faced cannot be tackled alone (or where there are identified significant obstacles that can be removed with collective will).

The Thematic Partnerships are a fantastic platform for discussing local issues and taking collaborative action. The membership of the wider Partnership consists of a wide and rich variety of partners but there is still potential for even further growth, and particularly for greater involvement of the commercial and community and voluntary sectors.  Working collectively we can achieve a more joined-up approach and so more effectively address issues of inequality, social and financial exclusion, in this way achieving the broader wellbeing of our communities.
